KHNP Hanul Unit 4 Reaches Normal Operating Output After Power Generation Resumption
KHNP Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters announced on the 29th that "Hanul Unit 4 (Pressurized Water Reactor, 1,000 MW class), which was shut down on September 16 for an interim maintenance, has completed maintenance and resumed power generation."
During the interim maintenance period, a leak in the secondary side equipment cooling water system piping was identified and addressed, and the integrity of related equipment was inspected and confirmed.
The secondary side equipment cooling water system refers to the facility that cools secondary side equipment such as the main feedwater pump, and is classified as non-safety equipment.
