[Concall] LG Electronics "OLED TV Declines This Year... Mid-10% Growth Expected Next Year"
On the 27th, during the conference call following the Q3 earnings announcement, LG Electronics stated, "We are concerned about a decline in OLED TV sales this year compared to the previous year." The company explained, "Business uncertainties continue due to not only the global demand slowdown this year but also increased geopolitical risks in Europe, the main market for OLED TVs. Both entry-level and premium product demand are being affected by the economic slowdown."
The demand outlook for next year and the mid-to-long term is positive. LG Electronics said, "According to major market research firms such as Omdia, a recovery to a mid-10% growth rate is expected starting next year," and added, "Following that, as the market transition from LCD to OLED accelerates, a high growth rate is expected to continue for a considerable period."
