Busan Office of Education Hosts 'Character Growth! Book Festival'
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the 'Character Growth! Book Festival' event for two days on the 27th and 28th at Songsanghyeon Square.
This event, held for the first time this year, aims to awaken the joy of reading among students and parents, share valuable experiences through reading activities, and promote the culture of reading.
The event will feature various programs such as invited lectures, meetings with authors, library experience exhibition booths, and healing reading experiences.
On the 27th at 2 PM, there will be a meeting with author Kim Jun-yong, who wrote We Accept Laundry Fees in Stories, Sanbok Laundry Room, and at 4:30 PM, an invited lecture titled There Is No Useless Challenge by the eccentric scientist Geekble will be held.
On the 28th at 11 AM, there will also be a meeting with author Ok Hyo-jin, who wrote Children Who Pay Taxes.
In addition, 10 libraries affiliated with the Busan Office of Education will operate unique reading experience programs, and school libraries will set up booths for book play experiences and exhibitions of the most-read books.
The festival will also operate a healing reading space where participants can freely read books. It will provide 135 books, 16 bean bags, and 10 Indian tents to create an atmosphere where people can briefly enjoy and read books in the city.
Various side events such as support for the 2030 Busan World Expo bid, a photo studio in the form of four life shots, and 60-second caricatures will also be held. All programs are free and open to everyone.
