Yoon Jong-kyu, Chairman of KB Financial Group, who was selected as a witness for the National Assembly audit, has submitted a letter explaining his absence.
According to the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee on the 24th, Chairman Yoon submitted the letter of absence to Baek Hye-ryun, Chairperson of the Political Affairs Committee. Previously, at the plenary session held on the 17th, Yoon was selected as a witness for the comprehensive audit of the Financial Services Commission and the Financial Supervisory Service scheduled for the 27th.
In the letter of absence, Yoon explained, "Starting with attending the IMF Annual Meeting on October 13, I am currently engaged in overseas IR activities targeting a total of 17 major shareholders and strategic alliance institutions in Asia, including Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong."

He added, "Considering the remaining term, the schedule for the Asia region IR activities cannot be rearranged, nor is it an issue that can be postponed. I sincerely apologize for not being able to attend the audit."
