The event was organized by the Gyeongbuk Headquarters and Uljin Branch of the One More Child Movement Federation, a pure civic movement group launched to overcome low birth rates. On this day, they provided souvenir sponsorships and volunteer activities.
The lecture featured a professional instructor from the Population and Future Policy Research Institute, a specialized population education organization. Tailored lectures such as 'Reading Education through Board Games' and 'Drawing a Map of Our Desired Village' were held at a level suitable for children, receiving great responses from the students. Through a family book play workshop, time was spent enhancing family bonds, and understanding of the Uljin area was deepened through board games.
Uljin County is making multifaceted efforts to overcome its status as a population decline area. Since last year, using the Local Extinction Response Fund, plans have been made for youth startup facilities and the construction of Wolbyeon District Happiness Town. Additionally, the county aims to secure future competitiveness by promoting region-tailored population policies.
