Gwangju Veterans Affairs Office Successfully Hosts 'Cultural Event' Teaching Student Independence Movement Through Camping
The Gwangju Regional Office of Veterans Affairs under the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs attracted attention by creating an opportunity to learn about the Student Independence Movement while camping.
The Gwangju Regional Office of Veterans Affairs (Director Jeong Hong-sik) announced on the 24th that it recently held the 'Independence Camping Festa IN 1929' event at Seungchonbo, where participants could enjoy camping along with cultural activities.
After visiting the Naju Student Independence Movement Memorial Hall with about 30 family campers with elementary school children, participants moved to the Seungchonbo campsite where various independence cultural events were held, including decorating the Independence Village, an independence parade, a reenactment of the Student Independence Movement, independence magic shows, and emotional busking performances.
A family who participated in the event said, "It was a new experience to learn and feel the Student Independence Movement while camping, and I hope this event continues in the future."
