"Putin Collapses from Cardiac Arrest in Bedroom"... Another Health Rumor
Russian President Vladimir Putin has been claimed to have been found in a state of cardiac arrest.
The British tabloid Daily Express reported on the 23rd (local time), citing a Telegram channel operated by a Kremlin insider, that President Putin was found collapsed on the floor of his Moscow residence bedroom by his security guards the previous night.
According to the report, doctors arrived at the scene immediately after President Putin was found, diagnosed cardiac arrest, and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is reported that President Putin has since regained consciousness.
The Telegram channel cited by the media is said to be operated by a former Russian army general. The channel claimed, "Two security guards who heard something fall in the president's bedroom immediately entered the room," adding, "They witnessed President Putin collapsed on the floor beside the bed, with a table overturned and food and drinks spilled." It continued, "President Putin was lying on the floor with his eyes rolled back, convulsing," and "Medical personnel working nearby were immediately called, and President Putin, who received timely treatment, regained consciousness."
This is not the first time rumors of President Putin's cardiac arrest have surfaced. In May, rumors that President Putin had collapsed due to a heart attack spread on social media.
