Added Joy to Donation... Smilegate Hope Studio, 'Gamification' Donation Platform
Smilegate Hope Studio announced on the 24th that it has launched Korea's first gamification donation platform, 'Hope Studio,' which incorporates game elements into non-gaming fields.
The new donation platform, Hope Studio, is a participatory platform where partner companies, donors, and game users can work together to solve social issues. It features the integration of game IPs and game operation elements, in collaboration with partner companies, into donation and volunteer activities, allowing anyone to easily and enjoyably participate in donation activities. Donors can participate in donations as if playing a game by leveling up and achieving ranks within the platform based on their activities.
The newly introduced donation platform consists of two main services: 'FUNding' for donations and 'HEALling' for volunteer activities. Additionally, users can directly propose public interest activities to solve social problems using the 'Suggest' feature within the platform.
Improvements to services necessary for participating in public interest activities, such as the introduction of a simple payment system, have also enhanced user convenience. In particular, donations can now be made using 'Stove Points' from the game platform 'Stove.'
Currently, major game companies such as 'Wemade Play,' 'DevSisters,' and 'JoyCity' are participating as partners in the new donation platform. Hope Studio plans to further systematize public interest programs and gradually expand related content with collaborative partners.
Kwon Yeon-ju, head of Smilegate Hope Studio, said, "We hope that the newly launched Hope Studio platform will allow users and donors to enjoyably participate in solving social issues, feel a sense of fulfillment, and spread hope to future generations, becoming a platform that creates a 'better world' together."
