The police have launched a forced investigation into Lee Hojin, chairman of Taekwang Group, who is accused of embezzlement and breach of trust.
On the 24th, the Anti-Corruption and Public Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that they were conducting a search and seizure at Chairman Lee's residence and affiliated companies on the morning of the same day, on charges of embezzlement and breach of trust in the course of business.

Chairman Lee was legally detained in 2011 on charges of embezzling company funds and was sentenced to three years in prison in 2019. He was pardoned in August this year as part of the Liberation Day special amnesty.
