The "Busan Construction Companies - Large Construction Companies Win-Win Day" event is a gathering where Busan City, construction companies, and related organizations unite their efforts to develop the local construction industry and strengthen Busan's economy. This marks the third year of the event following last year.
This year’s event includes participation from 12 top domestic large construction companies by construction capability and 60 specialized construction companies from Busan.
The event is divided into two parts and lasts for three hours and thirty minutes. ▲Part 1 features a "roundtable meeting" to share Busan’s construction policies and revitalize the local economy ▲Part 2 involves "win-win mentoring" between Busan construction companies and large construction corporations.
In Part 1, Busan City and 12 major construction companies including GS Construction share Busan’s urban future vision and construction policies, discussing ways to cooperate mutually.
Notably, the "roundtable meeting" introduces key Busan projects aimed at completing the "15-minute city," including large national projects such as ▲development of surrounding areas like Gadeokdo New Airport and Gadeok Nulchaman ▲bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo ▲urban renewal and public building construction ▲Eco Delta City ▲mesh-type railway system establishment ▲marine city construction, as well as physical infrastructure and digital industry base development projects.
Following Part 1, Part 2’s "win-win mentoring" features one-on-one consultations between 60 Busan construction companies participating in the city’s ambitious "Busan Small and Medium Specialized Construction Industry Capacity Enhancement (Scale Up) Support Project" and 12 large corporations.
Busan construction companies emphasize their capabilities and technologies, while large corporations share know-how on site contract acquisition, providing an opportunity to discover excellent Busan construction companies in the local field.
Kim Kwang-hoe, Director of Urban Balanced Development Office at Busan City, stated, “Over the past six years, through various efforts such as 'Scale Up' and 'Subcontract Promotion Sales,' 80 specialized companies have been registered as 717 cooperative companies. Despite a declining trend in construction investment indicators over the past three years as of the end of last year, the subcontracting performance of Busan specialized construction companies has significantly increased.” He added, “We hope this event will serve as a new turning point for greatly increasing work opportunities for Busan construction companies.”
