Gyeonggi-do to Hold 'Epidemiological Investigator Infectious Disease Academic Conference' in Hwaseong on the 26th
Gyeonggi Province will hold an academic conference on infectious disease epidemiologists.
On the 24th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it will hold the "2nd Gyeonggi Province Infectious Disease Epidemiologists Academic Conference" on the 26th at the Purmir Hotel in Hwaseong to review the current status of infectious diseases in the province and to prepare appropriate measures against unknown infectious diseases (DiseaseX).
The event, co-hosted by Gyeonggi Province and the Korean Society of Epidemiology, will focus on infectious disease response cases within the province, with about 100 epidemiologists from the province and 31 cities and counties participating to discuss "Strengthening the Infectious Disease Capabilities of Gyeonggi Province Epidemiologists."

Yoo Young-cheol, Director of the Gyeonggi Province Health and Wellness Bureau, said, "We are supporting the training of epidemiologists, who are specialized personnel for infectious disease crisis response in Gyeonggi Province," adding, "This academic conference will be a great opportunity to share the achievements of epidemiologists and explore cooperation measures for the development of future new infectious disease crisis response systems."
