Held from the 24th to the 27th on the 1st floor of the district office... Depicting daily life in the 1960s-80s of Guro Industrial Complex, the predecessor of Geumcheon G-Valley
Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) announced that it will hold the "Geumcheon Suni's House Photo Exhibition" on the first floor of the district office from October 24 to 27 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Guro Industrial Complex Workers' Life Experience Center (Geumcheon Suni's House).
The Guro Industrial Complex Workers' Life Experience Center is an industrial history exhibition hall located in Gasan-dong. It holds the heritage of the Guro Industrial Complex, the predecessor of Geumcheon G-Valley, from the 1960s to the 1990s. In addition to photos and artifacts, it exhibits a recreated small room where workers lived, which is why it is also called Geumcheon Suni's House.
This photo exhibition will display photos capturing 20 years of life in the Guro Industrial Complex from the 1960s to the 1980s. About 120 themed photos, including the early appearance of the Guro Export Industrial Complex (early 1960s), the Trade Fair (1968), and the Guro Alliance Strike (1985), along with six artifacts such as work uniforms and shoes, will be exhibited to commemorate the contributions of the Guro Industrial Complex workers who played a key role in industrial development and to showcase the industrial history of Geumcheon-gu to visitors.
The Guro Industrial Complex Workers' Life Experience Center has been holding special exhibitions annually since 2015 to introduce its collections to residents.
Yoo Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, "This photo exhibition will provide visitors with an opportunity to look at the overall flow of the industrial history of Geumcheon-gu's G-Valley."
