Busan Gijang-gun Sets 2024 Living Wage at 11,283 Won
On the 18th, Gijang-gun, Busan City held a living wage committee meeting and decided the 2024 Gijang-gun living wage amount to be 11,283 won.
This amount is 275 won (2.5%) higher than the 2023 Gijang-gun living wage of 11,008 won, and 1,423 won (14.43%) higher than the 2024 minimum wage of 9,860 won.
The living wage amount was determined after comprehensively reviewing the 2024 minimum wage increase rate, consumer price inflation rate, and the average household expenditure level of workers.
The living wage applies to workers belonging to Gijang-gun, institutions funded or supported by the county (Gijang-gun Urban Management Corporation), and institutions or companies entrusted with tasks by the county.
However, those temporarily employed through national or city government support such as public work or community projects, and public officials whose total wages exceed the living wage standard are excluded from the application.
The 2024 living wage will be applied starting January 1 next year, and the county plans to post the applicable subjects and the decided amount on the county website in October.
