During the festival period, approximately 23,000 spectators visited Geochang and Suseungdae, a 61.7% increase compared to last year, enjoying invited performances, fringe shows, and various side events that combined theater and summer leisure.
In particular, the opening ceremony performance, featuring a 50-member orchestra on a special underwater stage accompanied by a choir, actors, and dancers presenting a poignant love story, and the closing musical gala show with outstanding vocal performances and dazzling stages, were highly praised for moving many audience members.
Additionally, among the 20 paid performances, 9 shows were sold out, receiving favorable reviews from the audience. The German group Bodecker & Neander’s "D?j? Despite adverse weather conditions such as heatwaves, heavy rain, and typhoon Khanun, the prepared performances were completed without major incidents thanks to the pre-deployment of safety personnel from related agencies and volunteers, which was also highly appreciated.
