Yongin 'The Geonganghage' Pet Food Donation Program
Participants Receive 3 Hours of Volunteer Service Credit
'Deo Geonganghage', a self-support enterprise selling handmade pet snacks in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, will operate a 'Pet Food Donation for Abandoned Dogs' program starting from the 21st.
'Deo Geonganghage' is run by the Yongin Regional Self-Support Center's 'Youth Self-Support Challenge Project Team', which aims to create jobs and support independence, employing 12 young people.
This class will be held for 3 hours at the 'Deo Geonganghage' store located in Junevstar World, Dongbaek-dong, Giheung-gu, Yongin. Workers of the self-support enterprise will provide theoretical education on precautions during the production process of handmade pet snacks and the nutrients needed for pet snacks, along with practical snack-making sessions.
The participation fee is 20,000 KRW, which includes materials and packaging, and participants may bring their pets. Participants who make and donate snacks can receive credit for 3 hours of volunteer work.
Program participants are recruited on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 6 people per day through the Volunteer Certification Management System.

A Yongin city official said, "We hope that making snacks and promotional activities will raise awareness of the Youth Self-Support Challenge Project Team and contribute to the local community through donations."
