Kim Hyo-jae, Former Acting Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, Appointed as Chairman of the Korea Press Foundation
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 19th that it has appointed Kim Hyo-jae, former Acting Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, as the new Chairman of the Korea Press Foundation. The term is three years, from the 19th until October 18, 2026.

Chairman Kim graduated from the Department of Sociology at Korea University and worked as a reporter and editorial writer for the Chosun Ilbo. He served as a member of the 18th National Assembly and as the Presidential Chief Secretary for Political Affairs under the Lee Myung-bak administration. He also served as a standing commissioner and vice chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, and took on the role of acting chairman after Chairman Han Sang-hyuk was dismissed.

Minister Yoo In-chon stated, "The Korea Press Foundation is an institution responsible for press promotion projects and government advertising execution," adding, "We expect the new chairman to leverage his over 40 years of experience and expertise as a journalist and administrator to support the development of the press industry through the Korea Press Foundation."
