BNK Gyeongnam Bank has launched the ‘Warm Companion Service’ in the mobile banking app’s lifestyle benefits section to promote a culture of donation.
The Warm Companion Service is implemented to encourage warm interest from local residents and customers in supporting socially disadvantaged households introduced in the ‘Hope Sharing Project’ and talented youth (adolescents) selected as ‘Youth Dream Stars’ in literature, arts, sports, and other fields.
The Hope Sharing Project is a donation activity that shares the heartbreaking stories of socially disadvantaged households and supports them.
Youth Dream Stars is a program that receives recommendations of talented youth from low-income families from the Gyeongnam Office of Education, promotes them locally, and provides support.
To use the Warm Companion Service, go to the lifestyle benefits section of the mobile banking app, select either the Hope Sharing Project or Youth Dream Stars, read the story, and if you wish to support, click ‘Donate.’
Then, you will be automatically connected to the donation account, where you can set the desired amount and transfer it.
Choi Dae-sik, Head of the Social Contribution Promotion Department, said, “It was regrettable that even when people decided to donate to help neighbors in need, they sometimes postponed it due to complicated procedures. We hope many local residents will use the Warm Companion Service embedded in the BNK Gyeongnam Bank mobile banking app to easily participate in donations and share warm compassion.”
