48-Story Officetel Near Omokgyo Station, 25-Story Apartment Near Dolgoti Station to Be Built
Approximately 650 officetel units with a maximum height of 48 floors are planned to be built near Omokgyo Station on Subway Line 5. Near Dolgoti Station on Subway Line 6, about 500 residential units in buildings up to 25 floors high will be constructed.

View original imageOn the 18th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that the Architectural Committee approved the building plans for the new complex facility project at 924 Mokdong, Yangcheon-gu, and two other parcels, as well as the new construction project in Seokgwan District Center Special Planning Zone 2 in Jangwi-dong, Seongbuk-gu.
At 924 Mokdong and the two other parcels, an officetel complex with 648 units ranging from 6 basement floors to 48 floors above ground will be built, along with neighborhood living facilities, sports facilities, and public office facilities.
The Architectural Committee changed the previously planned elongated horizontal open space to a rectangular shape adjacent to a pedestrian-only road, increasing usability so that local residents can easily access it.

View original imageThe Seokgwan Special Planning Zone 2 new construction project will include 497 residential units (publicly supported private rental housing) in buildings ranging from 6 basement floors to 25 floors above ground, along with ancillary welfare facilities.
The residential complex will be built in the form of two main tower buildings with a central ventilation axis to secure a refreshing view. On the lower floors, public pedestrian passages and neighborhood living facilities connected to the entrance courtyard will be arranged to activate the streetscape.

Han Byung-yong, Director of the Seoul Housing Policy Office, said, "When high-rise buildings are constructed on narrow sites, we reflected features such as ventilation axes, green spaces, and distinctive facades to prevent an overwhelming sense of massiveness on the surroundings." He added, "Going forward, the Architectural Committee will continue to review plans from multiple perspectives to ensure building plans harmonize with the surrounding environment."
