SKT Hosts 'SK Tech Summit 2023'... Fostering a Global AI Ecosystem
SK Telecom announced on the 18th that it will begin registration for participation in SK Group's comprehensive technology exhibition, "SK Tech Summit 2023," which will be held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from November 16 to 17.
'SK Tech Summit' is a technology conference aimed at consolidating SK's technological capabilities and fostering a technology ecosystem. This year's event will be held under the theme "AI Everywhere for a better future."

'SK Tech Summit 2023' consists of presentations, exhibitions, and experiences covering 190 technologies across six technical fields prepared by 17 companies, including artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), big data, blockchain, cloud, and information and communication technology (ICT) convergence.
A key feature of this event is that more than 60% of the exhibited and presented technologies are AI-based, expressing SK Group's vision and confidence in future growth centered on SKT, which is growing into a global AI company. To publicly announce its growth strategy centered on the global AI ecosystem, SK decided to hold the largest-ever event by bringing together global partners such as Anthropic, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google, as well as K-AI Alliance participants including Sapeon, Conan Technology, and Moloco.
'SK Tech Summit 2023' will open on the morning of November 16 with an opening speech by Yoo Sang-young, Chairman of the SK ICT Committee, covering the changes and opportunities triggered by generative AI and SK's AI strategy in response. This will be followed by Jeong Seok-geun, head of SKT's Global/AI Tech Business Division, introducing SKT's AI technology development and evolution direction.
Jared Kaplan, developer of GPT-3 and co-founder (current CSO) of Anthropic, will introduce the current status and future prospects of Anthropic's large language model (LLM) development. He will also discuss collaboration directions with SKT, Amazon, Google, and others. Slavic Dimitrovich, Global Head of AI/ML Specialized Solutions Architecture at Amazon Web Services (AWS), will present on the potential and future impact of generative AI. Warren Buckley, Vice President of Google, will discuss industrial applications and future visions of generative AI.
At 'SK Tech Summit 2023,' Sapeon will also unveil its next-generation AI semiconductor X330 for the first time. On the afternoon of November 16, Sapeon's CEO Ryu Soo-jung will introduce Sapeon and the X330, and the company's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will present the technology strategy.
Attendees of 'SK Tech Summit 2023' will be able to experience AI-based daily life and industrial innovation strategy cases centered on the officially launched AI personal assistants A. Dot and A. Dot X LLM. At the A. Dot exhibition space, visitors can also experience differentiated AI connected to daily life, such as A. Dot Sleep and A. Dot TV. Additionally, SK Hynix will exhibit the actual HBM3, an optimal memory solution for implementing AI, GPUs, and supercomputers. SK Inc. C&C will introduce generative AI, cloud, digital ESG, and net-zero solutions and services. SK Broadband will showcase AI Korean subtitle technology applied to media services.
As the largest-ever event, it will also offer various experiences and networking opportunities. Participants can engage in discussions across various technical fields with SK internal and external engineers, and SK will operate a recruitment booth targeting university and graduate students.
