Daesang Conducts 'Cheonggye Atti' Environmental Improvement Activities at Cheonggyecheon
Daesang announced on the 18th that it participated in the ‘Cheonggye Atti’ activities organized by the Seoul Facilities Corporation under the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

View original image‘Cheonggye Atti’ means a beautiful band protecting Cheonggyecheon, and it is an initiative where the Seoul Facilities Corporation and participating companies cooperate to create a healthy ecosystem and beautiful environment in Cheonggyecheon.
About 30 employees from three public institutions and private companies, including Daesang, Korea Seven, and the Seoul Facilities Corporation, participated in the ‘Clear (淸) Garden Cultivation with Cheonggye Atti’ event held that day. The participating employees engaged in environmental improvement activities such as planting flowers in square planters set up near Cheonggye Plaza.
Since 2019, Daesang has signed a joint business agreement (MOU) with the Seoul Facilities Corporation to carry out environmental improvement activities for Cheonggyecheon. Through the Cheonggye Atti environmental campaign, which is a collaboration between public institutions and private companies, Daesang plans to implement its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management policies by cooperating with various organizations. Environmental cleanup activities such as ecological education for Cheonggyecheon and making ‘EM (Effective Micro-organisms) soil balls’ to improve water quality, involving employee participation, are also scheduled within the year.

Kim Kyung-sook, Head of Daesang’s ESG Management Office, said, “Cheonggye Atti is becoming a model campaign where public institutions and private companies collaborate to realize ESG values,” and added, “To create a sustainable society, we will continue to actively cooperate with participating organizations and present various campaigns.”
