View original imageOn the 17th, the Jayang Traditional Market (Market Merchants Association President Park Ho-gyu) in Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) hosted the 'Jayang Traditional Market Beer Festival' organized by the market merchants association to revitalize the traditional market.
Jayang Traditional Market has 128 stores and stretches 380 meters, making it the second largest market in Gwangjin-gu after Junggok Jeil Traditional Market. It is a local attraction visited by many influencers, offering a variety of food, sights, and entertainment.
The event took place around the Jayang Traditional Market intersection, featuring a pre-event performance, opening ceremony, and invited singer performances. Visitors could enjoy a unique experience of drinking beer at outdoor tables set up inside the market. Additionally, various programs such as tarot card readings, roulette games, and prize giveaways, along with diverse food options, attracted the attention of traditional market visitors.
The district ensured thorough safety measures by deploying safety personnel and securing passageways. Over 800 residents attended, enjoying the cool autumn breeze and spending a safe and enjoyable festival time.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “I thank President Park Ho-gyu and all those involved for preparing the festival. I hope everyone feels the charm of the traditional market along with the autumn atmosphere at today’s festival. We will do our best to make the traditional market a local tourist attraction and revitalize the local commercial district.”
