October 27-29: Abundant Garden Exhibition and Experience Events
Ulsan City will hold the "2023 Taehwagang National Garden Autumn Festival" under the theme "Autumn, Dyed in the Garden" from the 27th to the 29th at the Taehwagang National Garden area.
This year's Taehwagang National Garden Autumn Festival will welcome visitors with spectacular sights including Piet Oudolf's naturalistic garden, autumn chrysanthemums, pink muhly grass, pampas grass, cosmos, and the silver waves of Miscanthus sacchariflorus.
The event will feature a variety of programs such as ▲Opening Ceremony (special performance by the Taekwondo Demonstration Team, opening ceremony), ▲Performances, ▲Balloon Flower (Doraji) Harvest Experience, and ▲Wildflower Exhibitions and Garden Experience Events.
On the first day, the 27th, starting at 6:30 PM, a special performance by the Ulsan City Taekwondo Demonstration Team will kick off the event, followed by a parade with a military band and youth dance teams.
Then, at 7 PM, the opening ceremony will be held on the special stage at Wangbeodeul Square, featuring a hologram touch button and a special autumn-themed performance by Jo Hang-jo.
During the weekend (28th?29th), activities such as the Balloon Flower (Doraji) Harvest Experience, Youth Harmony Festival, Autumn Garden Concert, Little Maple Train, and Children's Magic Show will take place.
Programs suitable for various age groups will also be presented, including a concert with commentary by The Strings Chamber Orchestra (on the 28th) and a youth dance competition (on the 29th).
The Balloon Flower (Doraji) Harvest Experience, prepared for the first time at this year's autumn festival, allows participants to directly harvest balloon flowers growing within the national garden and take them home. This event will be conducted together with citizen gardeners through both online and on-site registration in advance.
At night, for visitors' convenience, the event site will be illuminated from 6 PM to 10 PM with lighting towers around the flower garden, neon emotional phrases and night string lights along the Zelkova tree path, and a large moon rabbit light installation at the Taehwagang stream.
