Jongno-gu (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) will hold the '2023 Jongno-gu Youth Career and Job Fair' at the Gwanghwamun Square Playground from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 18th.
This event is organized in collaboration with local businesses and educational institutions to provide growing youth with opportunities to explore careers and experience various jobs.
Under the slogan "Valuable Dreams, Dreams We Share," the event aims to encourage community members to create meaningful dreams together with the youth.
There will be a total of 60 experience booths featuring technologies representative of the 4th Industrial Revolution such as drones, robots, IoT, and VR, as well as traditional crafts and precious metals based in Jongno. A career concert and club presentations are also scheduled.
Additionally, Hyundai Engineering Smart Technology Center, participating in the 'Jongno-gu Corporate-linked Creative Education' social contribution project since 2021, will operate experience booths featuring the quadruped robot 'Spot,' which appeared in BTS performances, and industrial drones. Jeonghwa Arts University will also run booths for B-boy and K-POP performances, special makeup, and nail art.
The official opening ceremony of the fair will begin at 9:50 a.m. with a dazzling drone flight show. From 10:40 a.m., there will be a career special lecture by instructor Ryu Jetaek on the theme "The Future Living with AI," followed by presentations from 11 youth club teams showcasing their skills at 2 p.m.
Various events are prepared to make the experience more enjoyable. Participants who visit and post certification photos from four or more booths in the 'Booth Experience Stamp Rally' will receive convenience store vouchers, and cultural gift certificates will be given on a first-come, first-served basis for the 'Career Concert Quiz.'
This fair not only involved the Jongno-gu Youth Career Planning Group extensively in planning and operating the booths and slogan but is also held together with the '2023 Youth Festival Tongtong,' raising expectations. Attendees can enjoy diverse experience booths tailored to youth perspectives such as the 'UN Convention on the Rights of the Child,' 'Literacy Board Games for Elementary Students,' and 'Peer Relationship Improvement,' and create special memories at the 'TT Four-Cut Photo Booth.'
