Seven Eleven Unveils Unique Steamed Buns in Collaboration with Chicken Brand Mexicana
Two Types of Yangnyeom Chicken and Gomae Chicken
7-Eleven announced on the 16th that it has collaborated with Mexicana to launch two new products: 'Mexicana Yangnyeom Chicken Hoppang' and 'Mexicana Gomae Chicken Hoppang.'
Mexicana Yangnyeom Chicken Hoppang features a sweet and spicy yangnyeom chicken flavor made by mixing grilled chicken with dakgangjeong sauce. Mexicana Gomae Chicken Hoppang offers a spicy chicken taste with a soy sauce base enhanced by Cheongyang chili peppers for added umami. Both products are sold in single-piece packaging targeting one- to two-person households.
7-Eleven initiated this collaboration based on the observation that unique hoppang flavors such as honey and sweet potato have recently gained popularity over classic varieties like red bean and vegetable hoppang. As the winter season approaches, 7-Eleven plans to continuously develop and release hoppang with trendy fillings that appeal to its main convenience store customers, the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z).
