Ulsan City, Final Review Meeting for the 14th NEAR General Assembly Event Inspection
Participation of 79 Organizations from 6 Northeast Asian Countries
On the 16th at 2 PM, Ulsan City will hold a final briefing session on the agency service for the 14th Northeast Asia Regional Local Government Alliance (NEAR) General Assembly event, chaired by Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Ahn Hyo-dae, at the City Hall video conference room.
The briefing session will include the final event preparation report by the agency, Bom Communications, feedback from the NEAR Secretariat and departments, and discussions.
△ Directions for major event operations such as the opening ceremony △ Attendance status of member organizations △ Preparation status for simultaneous online and offline hosting will be reported.
The 14th NEAR General Assembly will be held both online and offline from the 24th to the 26th at the Ulsan Exhibition & Convention Center (UECO), with about 150 participants from over 50 organizations across 5 countries.
The event will include the opening ceremony, reports on key activities from the Secretariat and member organizations, the proclamation of the Ulsan Declaration, a ride on Taehwa Lake, and on-site inspections (Hyundai Motor Company, Taehwa River National Garden).
Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Ahn Hyo-dae stated, “We will do our best to prepare so that this becomes an opportunity to strengthen cooperation and friendship among member organizations and successfully conclude our term as the chair organization.”
Previously, Ulsan City was selected as the chair organization of the 14th NEAR General Assembly at the 13th online General Assembly in 2021. Ulsan successfully completed the 13th Executive Committee last year, and the chair organization’s term will end with this General Assembly.
NEAR was established on September 4, 1996, with 29 organizations from 4 countries participating to promote exchange, cooperation, and joint development among local governments in Northeast Asia.
