According to AFP, at a high school in the Arras region of northeastern France, a male suspect of Chechen origin wielded a knife, resulting in the death of one teacher and injuries to two others.
The suspect reportedly shouted "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest) in Arabic.
G?rald Darmanin, the Minister of the Interior, wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that the suspect was apprehended by the police.
The French national anti-terrorism prosecutor immediately initiated a terrorism investigation. The suspect was already registered with the French government as a potential security threat.
