Korean Studies Advancement Center Receives Top 'S Grade' in Management Evaluation of Gyeongbuk Province Funded Institutions
The Korea National Institute of Korean Studies (Director Jeong Jong-seop) announced on the 13th that it was selected as the best institution by receiving an 'S grade' in the '2023 (2022 performance) Management Performance Evaluation' conducted by Gyeongbuk Province.
This management performance evaluation, conducted on 23 investment and foundation institutions under Gyeongsangbuk-do, was divided into 15 detailed areas across three categories: sustainable management, management performance, and social value. Following the excellent grade received in the 2022 investment and foundation institution management evaluation, this year it received the highest grade, being selected again as the 'best institution' in two years. In addition, the head of the institution received the highest grade among the evaluated heads in the evaluation of institutional heads, which assesses responsible management, mid- to long-term strategic tasks, and innovation tasks.
In this management evaluation, the Korea National Institute of Korean Studies was highly recognized for achievements made in various areas through business response and cooperation aligned with the provincial government’s policy direction. In particular, it was evaluated that the institute enhanced its expertise as a Korean studies promotion institution by promoting the registration of World Documentary Heritage, attracting UNESCO events, and advancing the digital and smart transformation of Korean studies materials.
Based on these achievements, it was recognized for contributing to the management improvement of local investment and foundation institutions and received a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety on the 22nd of last month. This recognition was for actively fulfilling social responsibilities as a public institution, including proactive institutional innovation last year, obtaining certification for the Anti-Bribery Management System (ISO37001), and operating a COVID-19 residential treatment center at the Humanities and Spirit Training Institute.
