[Asian Games] Moon Hyekyung Wins Gold Medal in Women's Soft Tennis Singles

Moon Hye-kyung (NH Nonghyup Bank) won the gold medal in the women's singles soft tennis event at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
On the 7th, Moon Hye-kyung defeated Takahashi Noa (Japan) 4-0 (4-2 4-2 4-0 4-0) in the women's singles final held at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China.
This is the first time in 9 years that a Korean player has won the women's singles soft tennis title at the Asian Games since Kim Bo-mi at the 2014 Incheon Games.
Moon Hye-kyung, who won silver medals in mixed doubles and team events at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, earned the gold medal in singles and bronze medals in mixed doubles and team events at this competition.
Korea won one gold medal and four bronze medals in soft tennis at this Games. Since soft tennis became an official Asian Games event at the 1994 Hiroshima Games, this is the first time Korea has finished the competition with only one gold medal.
