Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival Hosts '2024 International Alliance for Mountain Film' General Assembly
The Secretariat of the Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival will host the International Alliance for Mountain Film (IAMF) General Assembly during the 9th Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival in 2024.
The International Alliance for Mountain Film is an international organization established in 2000 to promote mountain films and mountain culture. It consists of 27 members, including 25 mountain film festivals from 20 countries across 5 continents, the National Mountain Museum in Torino, Italy, and the Mountain Film Cinematheque in France.
The Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival became an official member after only two editions in 2017 and has been serving as the Asian representative of the alliance since 2019.
Chairman Lee Soon-geol and programmer Lee Jeong-jin of the Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival personally attended the 2023 IAMF Spring General Assembly held in Trento, Italy, last April to express their intention to host next year’s general assembly.
Subsequently, at the IAMF online board meeting held on September 27, the agenda to hold the 2024 IAMF General Assembly at the Ulsan Ulju World Mountain Film Festival was confirmed.

Members from 27 member countries across 5 continents are expected to visit Ulju to participate in the 2024 IAMF General Assembly. In response, Ulju County announced plans to actively support the hosting of the general assembly.
