CEO Kim announced that the operation method of Lotoc will reflect the recommendations of the Ministry of Justice. He said, "The Ministry of Justice deeply sympathizes with the fact that legal platforms enhance the public’s access to justice and contribute to the substantial guarantee of the right to receive assistance from lawyers," adding, "We will actively accept the Ministry of Justice’s recommendations as soon as possible and become a model for legal platforms."
The Ministry of Justice’s Lawyer Disciplinary Committee canceled the disciplinary actions by the Korean Bar Association against 123 lawyers using Lotoc on the 26th of last month, while pointing out that "depending on the specific operation method, there are risks that may harm the public nature of lawyers and fair order of case acceptance or cause damage to consumers (such as distortion of information, increase in advertising costs, concerns about consultations by office managers, concentration of cases proportional to advertising costs, dependency of lawyers on the platform, and decline in the quality of legal services)."

In the future, lawyers who use AI will compete with those who do not," adding, "To focus more on the essence of user value, we will prioritize service advancement and the development of new services based on AI technology, dedicating company-wide capabilities to build global competitiveness beyond the domestic market."
Lotoc will allow young lawyers to advertise for free on the platform for six months after opening their practice to help expand their base. To ensure that legally marginalized groups can receive assistance from lawyers, 3% of annual sales will be invested in legal consultation support costs. Additionally, the company is willing to actively respond to external requests for dialogue to establish legal tech policies.
