Gyeonggi-do Conducts 425 Pre-Consultations Over 2 Years for Gender Equality Promotional Materials Production
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 4th that it has adjusted 425 cases, including resolving controversies over gender-discriminatory expressions, through a 'Gender Equality Promotional Material Production Pre-Consulting' program conducted over two years since 2021.
Gyeonggi Province's pre-consulting process involves the project manager undergoing a first expert review stage during the promotional material production phase, followed by a second stage to confirm the implementation of improvement suggestions before distributing the materials.
In particular, promotional materials from public institutions under the province, which are simultaneously shared across multiple social media platforms and have very high dissemination potential, are managed by reflecting whether gender-sensitivity consulting has been conducted and incorporated in the institution's management evaluation.
Additionally, pre-consulting is conducted from the initial draft or scenario stages for various promotional materials produced by the province, including brochures and videos, to help ensure substantial improvements are made.
Gyeonggi Province also produced the 'Gyeonggi Province Gender Equality Promotional Material Guide' last year and distributed it for use by the province, cities and counties, and affiliated public institutions.
Furthermore, an 'Online Education for Gender Equality Promotional Materials' is operated continuously to ensure that a gender-sensitive perspective is applied throughout all stages of promotional material production in the public sector.
