One Dead After Knife Fight Among Thai Women on Chuseok Day
On Chuseok day, an incident occurred in Yeongju, Gyeongbuk, where a dispute between Thai women living there escalated to a stabbing, resulting in one death.
According to Yeongju Police Station, at around 7:30 PM on the 29th, a Thai woman in her 30s, identified as A, wielded a weapon during an argument with her cohabiting Thai partner in her 40s, B, in Punggi-eup, Yeongju, Gyeongbuk, causing B's death.
A and B had been residing in Korea for four years and had moved to the Punggi area in April, where they worked on ginseng farms and other jobs.
