Initially, Gwangju City did not consider extending the last public transportation services, anticipating that travel would be spread out due to the longer holiday period caused by the designation of temporary holidays. However, to ease the concerns of travelers arriving late at night in their hometowns, the city urgently decided to extend the operation hours.
