BYN Black Yak Group announced on the 27th that it has developed a smart cooling vest for the prevention of heat-related illnesses as part of the customized public demand safety research and development project conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the Korea Local Information Research & Development Institute.
The smart cooling vest for preventing heat-related illnesses is equipped with a smart cooling system that cools the ambient air to lower the temperature inside the clothing. It also features sensors that measure the registered user's heart rate and body temperature to detect early symptoms of heat-related illnesses and encourage rest and hydration through application notifications. In critical stages, alerts are sent to the control center and guardians, activating the rescue system.
Following this development, Black Yak participated in the '2023 Korea Safety Industry Expo' held at KINTEX in Ilsan from the 13th to the 15th, in collaboration with the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology. At the event, the smart cooling vest was demonstrated for the first time in the market, presenting a solution for the prevention of heat-related illnesses.
