Garak Mall Designated as 'Alley-type Shopping District' Allowing Use of Onnuri Gift Certificates
The Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation (President Moon Young-pyo) announced that from now on, customers will be able to purchase fresh ingredients such as agricultural, livestock, and processed foods more affordably using Onnuri gift certificates at Garak Mall.
As a measure to revitalize Garak Mall and promote seafood consumption, the corporation utilized the Alley-type Shopping District system under the Traditional Market Act (August 2020) to resolve the issue of using Onnuri gift certificates at Garak Mall. In close cooperation with relevant government departments and Songpa-gu, the registration for Onnuri gift certificate affiliation at Garak Mall has been completed.
From now on, Garak Mall merchants can accept Onnuri gift certificates for sales, and customers can conveniently purchase fresh and high-quality ingredients at Garak Mall using Onnuri gift certificates, which are regularly sold at a 5-10% discount.

To promote seafood consumption, an Onnuri gift certificate rebate event is ongoing until the end of the year, offering 40% of the purchase amount (up to 20,000 KRW) back in Onnuri gift certificates when purchasing domestic seafood. This is expected to have a dual effect of price discounts for customers and increased sales for merchants.
