Hong Young-geun, Head of Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, Visits and Inspects Fire-Vulnerable Facilities
Hong Young-geun, head of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters, visited fire-vulnerable facilities to conduct inspections in preparation for the upcoming Chuseok holiday.
According to Jeonnam Fire on the 20th, Director Hong visited 'Cheongho Market' in Mokpo City and nursing homes in the province on the same day.
Traditional markets, due to their facility characteristics such as maze-like passages and densely packed stores, have a high risk of fires spreading into large-scale fires, making thorough fire prevention and response measures crucial.
Therefore, this initiative was undertaken to inspect the overall fire safety facilities of traditional markets, which attract many visitors during the holiday period, and to check fire risk factors and response plans in case of disasters.
Director Hong and Park Ui-seung, chief of the Mokpo Fire Station, listened to the status and safety measures of Cheongho Market from the merchant association officials, then toured various parts of the market to identify any fire hazards.
They also emphasized the importance of voluntary safety management to the officials and urged active cooperation to secure fire lanes.
Following this, they visited the 'Baekhyangmok-ui Jip' nursing home in Hampyeong County, delivered consolation goods, and conducted safety consulting, sharing warmth with the residents.
