Mercedes-Benz and Ministry of the Interior and Safety Collaborate on Children's Traffic Safety Campaign
The Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee announced on the 20th that it signed a memorandum of understanding for children's traffic safety promotion at Seoul Gyeongdong Elementary School, together with 12 organizations and institutions including the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Education, the Road Traffic Authority, and the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. This agreement, led by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, aims to raise awareness of children's traffic safety, build social consensus, and establish a child-first traffic safety culture.

They agreed to conduct promotional activities and increase education for children until 2025. Since 2014, the Mercedes-Benz Social Contribution Committee has been running the Mercedes-Benz Mobile Kids traffic safety education program, through which over 40,000 children from 1,749 institutions have received education. They have supported campaigns through drawing contests and traffic safety guidance activities in cooperation with the Central Green Mothers' Association. Lee Sang-guk, Vice President of Mercedes-Benz, stated, "We have been conducting traffic safety education so that children can practice traffic safety rules themselves and proactively prevent accidents."
