Yangcheon-gu Mayor Lee Gijae Celebrates 'Senior Citizens' Day Cultural Festival'
Yangcheon-gu to Host the 27th Senior Citizens' Day Celebration 'Vibrant Youth! A Cultural Festival Together' on the 19th
Yangcheon-gu (District Mayor Lee Gi-jae) held the "Vibrant Youth! Cultural Festival Together" on the afternoon of the 19th at the Yangcheon Culture Hall Grand Theater area to support the energetic later years of the elderly in celebration of the 27th Senior Citizens' Day.
About 1,000 people, including local seniors and related organization officials, attended the festival, which proceeded in the order of ▲pre-event performance ▲commemorative ceremony (awards for meritorious persons, reading of the Senior Citizens' Charter, commemorative speeches, etc.) ▲Elderly Filial Love Concert.
Around the event venue, the "Livable Yangcheon Experience Booth" was set up with participation from Yangcheon, Mokdong, Balgeunnae, and West Seoul Senior Welfare Centers, as well as Seonam Hospital, offering various programs such as senior employment counseling, elderly human rights campaigns, health consultations, and air freshener making.

Lee Gi-jae, Yangcheon District Mayor, who personally visited various spots at the festival site to communicate with the elderly, said, "We will continue to discover and promote customized policies and services for seniors so that Yangcheon-gu can become an age-friendly city where seniors can live well."
