Let's Play at Gwangju Science Museum During Chuseok... Plenty of Fun Activities
The National Gwangju Science Museum is hosting the 'Chuseok Special Event - Let's Play at the Science Museum with Memories!'
The event will be held for a total of 3 days from the 28th of this month to the 1st of next month, featuring four main sections?Performance Yard, Experience Yard, Competition Yard, and more?with a total of 17 programs.
The Performance Yard will welcome visitors with a traditional folk puppet show (on the 28th), traditional performances on the 30th including Beonna play where participants spin a top and a wheel with wooden sticks, and the Lion Mask Dance. On October 1st, there will be a Family Love Calligraphy session and the Chuseok Family Theater screening classic animations.
The Experience Yard offers various traditional games such as Yutnori, Jegichagi, Tuho, Sangaji, and Ssangryuk, along with traditional musical instrument experiences including Sangmo spinning, drums, and Janggu, as well as a Chuseok play maze.
Additionally, visitors can enjoy activities like the Chuseok Wish Tree, Chuseok Children's Science Museum Experience, and special Chuseok education programs. On the evening of the 28th, there will also be a Chuseok full moon observation program.
In the Competition Yard, there will be family-friendly contests including the Family Jegichagi Competition (on the 28th), Tuho Competition (on the 30th), and Archery Competition (on October 1st). Teams with outstanding results will receive commemorative prizes.
During the Chuseok special event period, integrated admission tickets will be provided free of charge to three-generation families and those wearing Hanbok.
Various events such as the Dal Tokki Photo Zone, instant family photos, and Chuseok participation review events are also prepared.
