Gwangju Police Agency Promotes Special Crime Prevention for Chuseok Holiday
The Gwangju Metropolitan Police Agency and the Gwangju Autonomous Police Committee will implement a 'Special Crime Prevention Plan for the Chuseok Holiday' until the 3rd of next month.
The police will conduct detailed crime prevention assessments on 1,899 cash-handling businesses as well as areas densely populated with one-room and multi-family housing.
Based on the assessment results, vulnerable locations will be designated as 'priority management stores and flexible patrol areas' and reported to the CCTV integrated control center.
Before the Chuseok holiday, a full monitoring of households at risk of domestic violence recurrence will be conducted, and emergency temporary measures will be taken using the 'Risk Assessment Form.'
With increased public attention on sex offenders, efforts will focus on apprehending those with unknown whereabouts, and inspections will also be carried out on individuals subject to notification and disclosure.
Traffic activities will be managed in phases, focusing on safety and smooth flow.
In the first phase, until the 26th, officers will be deployed to congested areas such as traditional markets and large supermarkets to manage traffic primarily for smooth flow.
