Deployment of 20 Units Including Ioniq 5
Hyundai Motor Group has deployed a specially designed art car in New York, USA, to support the bid for the 2030 Busan World Expo. With the host city selection approaching in November, the group plans to engage in a final promotional campaign at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.
Starting from the 18th (local time), Hyundai Motor Group announced that it will carry out Busan Expo promotional activities during the high-level week of the 78th UN General Assembly in New York, utilizing 20 art cars created in collaboration with Korean artists.

During this week, leaders, prime ministers, ministers, and representatives from 193 UN member countries gather for general debates and Sustainable Development Goals summits to discuss global issues.
With the Expo host city selection scheduled for late November, the company plans to leverage the UN General Assembly to widely promote Busan’s vision and competitiveness, strengthening its final bid efforts. To emphasize the Busan Expo’s unique point of being a “carbon-neutral Expo through the application of eco-friendly technologies,” three electric vehicle models?the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Genesis G80 electrified model?were selected as art cars.

By operating these vehicles near the UN headquarters and around major New York landmarks, the group aims to showcase Busan’s appeal and commitment to hosting the Expo to key international figures as well as tourists visiting New York. For example, the art cars will be displayed at the Genesis House located in the Meatpacking District, a cultural and artistic hub in Manhattan, and at Times Square Plaza.
