Government Provides $2 Million Humanitarian Aid to Libya for Flood Damage
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 17th that it will provide humanitarian aid worth 2 million dollars (approximately 2.7 billion KRW) to Libya, which suffered extensive flood damage.
This support will be delivered through the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
On the 10th (local time), a typhoon struck the northeastern area around Derna in Libya, causing severe flood damage.
According to the United Nations, it is estimated that over 13,300 people have died, 10,000 are missing, and more than 40,000 have been displaced.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, "We hope this support will help the Libyan people affected by the typhoon and floods to stabilize quickly and aid in the recovery of the affected areas."
