Ulsan 100 Dads Group Learns Safety from Earthquakes, Fires, and Traffic While Playing with Kids
Dads in Ulsan learn about ‘safety’ while playing with their children.
On the 16th at 10 a.m., Ulsan City announced that it will hold a daily safety experience program for fathers and their children at the Ulsan Safety Experience Center.
Thirty members of the ‘Ulsan 100 Dads Group’ and 30 children, totaling 60 participants, will take part in the program. This event was organized to remind families of the importance of fathers, to foster children’s safety awareness through daily safety and disaster-related experiences, and to strengthen relationships.
The event will be divided into three groups of 20 people each, and participants will experience ▲tattoo sticker activities ▲traffic safety experiences (car rollover, bus escape, etc.) ▲fire safety experiences (how to use a fire extinguisher, smoke evacuation, etc.) ▲earthquake disaster experiences (earthquake response tips, watching 4D disaster situation videos), among others.
An official from Ulsan City said, “The 100 Dads Group is a program promoted to spread a parenting culture where both spouses participate. We hope this will be an opportunity for families to step away from daily life, enjoy time with their children, cultivate safety awareness, and feel the importance of family.”
The Ulsan 100 Dads Group is a program operated jointly by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ulsan City, and the Ulsan branch of the Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association as a national awareness improvement project to overcome low birth rates.
