Launch of the 21st Changwon City Council of the Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council

The Changwon City Council of the National Unification Advisory Council (hereinafter referred to as the Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council Changwon City Council) completed the organization of its 21st term after its launch on the 1st and fired the starting signal for full-scale activities.
The Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council Changwon City Council shares the government's national vision and national goals, and serves as a bridge for policy proposals based on the vivid on-site public opinion on unification and as a point of contact for public-private cooperation. It will faithfully perform its role in the region for the next two years (September 1, 2023 ? August 31, 2025).
Jung Young-sik, chairman of Beomhan Group, was newly appointed as the chairman of the Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council Changwon City Council. Chairman Jung Young-sik has served as CEO of Beomhan Fuel Cell, vice chairman of the Changwon Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chairman of the Gyeongnam Sponsorship Committee of the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation, and chairman of the Masan Free Trade Zone Enterprise Association. He is leading efforts to revitalize the Changwon regional economy and the global growth of the hydrogen industry, a key industry.
The 21st term of the Changwon City Council consists of a total of 282 members (152 reappointed, 130 new), including 85 women and 197 men, with 44 city council members and 21 provincial council members appointed.
The committees, composed of Planning and Public Relations, Public Communication, Women, Youth, Education, Social Welfare, and Culture and Arts, will act as mediators for national integration to gather diverse public opinions from various sectors and spread sound unification discourse.

The Democratic Peace Unification Advisory Council Changwon City Council will announce the start of its 21st term and begin full-scale activities through the Gyeongnam regional meeting inauguration ceremony held at the Changwon Convention Center on the 22nd and the Changwon City Council inauguration ceremony at Changwon City Hall on the 26th.
