MFDS Joint Inspection of Pharmaceuticals, Biopharmaceuticals, and Cosmetics Until the 15th
The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 11th that it will conduct a planned joint inspection by sector of medical products, including pharmaceuticals, biopharmaceuticals, and cosmetics, in cooperation with regional food and drug safety offices and local governments until the 15th.
For pharmaceuticals, samples of widely consumed liquid formulations for fever reduction, pain relief, and digestive system use that are packaged in sachets and distributed domestically will be collected and tested.
For biopharmaceuticals, the cold chain management status will be inspected for top companies handling self-administered injectable drugs. For cosmetics, responsible sellers using human cell and tissue culture fluid as raw materials will be checked for the preparation and storage of documents according to safety standards for cell and tissue culture fluid.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety plans to recall and dispose of any non-compliant products found during the inspection and take administrative actions as necessary.
