Mayor Lee explained the necessity of KTX Osan Station stops and GTX-C line extension, stating, “Osan is a hinterland city of the semiconductor belt in the southern Gyeonggi area, and its population is increasing based on Segyo 1 and 2 districts.”
He also emphasized the urgency of ▲traffic congestion measures for the Osan IC section of the Gyeongbu Expressway ▲additional opening of the Nam Sajinwi IC connection lane toward Seoul ▲traffic congestion measures for the Osan section of the Metropolitan Second Ring Expressway ▲early commencement of the Gyeongbu Line railroad crossing road construction ▲early full opening of the Western Bypass Road ▲early completion of the underground construction of Dongbu-daero ▲early expansion and paving of national and local roads between Osan and Hwaseong, Yongin, and Anseong.
Minister Won responded, “Osan is one of the key cities in the metropolitan area, but the details of infrastructure such as roads and railroads have been lacking. We will actively cooperate so that Osan City can promptly proceed with these projects.”
Meanwhile, on the same day, Osan City signed a business agreement with LH to establish a win-win cooperation system for advancing into an economically self-sufficient city.
