Gyeonggi Office of Education to Hold Resident Participation Budget Advisory Committee Meeting on the 7th... Review of 52 Agenda Items
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will hold the 3rd Resident Participation Budget Advisory Committee on the 7th to review budget proposals from residents and students.
Prior to the advisory committee meeting, the Office of Education collected opinions from residents, faculty, students, and parents through regional meetings of 25 education support offices and the Regional Youth Education Council.
At this 3rd advisory committee, a total of 52 proposals will be presented, including support related to school operations, education-related management and support, strengthening student activities, and improving the working environment for faculty and staff.
Key proposals include ▲education to prevent abuse of student drugs, harmful substances, and beverages ▲expansion of educational support projects for the growth of slow learners ▲youth economic education and preparation for adult life to establish practical economic concepts for adolescents ▲establishment of official residences, faculty housing, and housing cost support for newly assigned teachers in remote and isolated areas ▲operation and expansion of support for Neulbom classrooms for students requiring care.
The Office of Education plans to reflect the advisory committee’s proposals in the budget formulation process to enhance the democracy and transparency of budget management.
Seo Hye-jeong, Policy Planning Officer of the Office of Education, stated, "We will listen to and incorporate diverse opinions from residents and school members to realize Gyeonggi education that satisfies residents, students, parents, and faculty, and to nurture future talents equipped with basic character and foundational competencies."
