The Customer Rest Area was created as a single-story building with a total floor area of 99.75㎡ within Daerim Jungang Market. It was selected as part of the Seoul City facility modernization project in 2020, construction began in January this year, and it was completed in August.

The ceremony proceeded in the order of ▲ opening declaration ▲ project progress report ▲ greetings and congratulatory speeches ▲ ribbon cutting ▲ commemorative photo session. Mayor Choi toured the facilities inside the Customer Rest Area and spent time communicating with market merchants and local residents in a relaxed atmosphere.
A merchant from Daerim Jungang Market expressed, “There has been a lack of convenience spaces for market merchants until now, so I am very pleased that a communication space has been created that can be used not only by merchants but also by customers and local residents.”
