Regarding the possibility of a summit meeting between North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian government stated that "there is nothing to say."
On the 5th (local time), according to Russia's Sputnik News Agency, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesperson, told reporters, "We have nothing to say about this," in response to the possibility of a North Korea-Russia summit reported in the United States.
Earlier, the New York Times (NYT) in the United States reported, citing U.S. government officials, that Chairman Kim is considering visiting Russia this month.
Additionally, U.S. government officials officially informed Yonhap News Agency that the U.S. government has obtained information indicating that Chairman Kim hopes to continue negotiations on arms deals with Russia at the summit level.
