Selected 1,640 out of 1,917 Total Applicants
National Changwon University will accept applications for the 2024 academic year early admission from the 11th to the 15th.
Changwon University plans to select 1,640 students, accounting for 86% of the total 1,917 admissions for the 2024 academic year early admission.
This is an increase of 43 students compared to the 1,597 admissions in the 2023 academic year.
The university will select the largest number of 729 students through the academic excellence track of the student record-based admission among the early admission categories.
For the comprehensive student record admission, 265 students will be selected through the regional talent track for students living in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, and 211 students through the aptitude talent track.
A total of 435 students will be recruited through 10 tracks, including 116 in arts and physical education, and 19 special talent students in sports and dance.
According to the university, the lifelong learner track, employment track, and specialized high school graduate employment track, tailored for working adults and mature students, allow admission without the CSAT while working, and classes are held during evenings and weekends.
The student record-based admission selection method is based 100% on academic grades, reflecting all subjects in Korean, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, and Science in the first year.
For the second and third years, Korean, Mathematics, and English are common subjects; Social Studies for humanities and social sciences, and Science for natural sciences are all reflected.
Among the comprehensive student record admissions, the aptitude talent track reflects both qualitative document evaluation based on the school life record and interview evaluation results.
The regional talent track in the comprehensive student record admission consists of 50% quantitative evaluation of school record grades and 50% qualitative evaluation of extracurricular activities, with document evaluation only and no interview.
Applications for National Changwon University’s early admission can be submitted up to six times, including applications to other universities and overseas Korean tracks. Detailed information on each admission track can be found on the admissions website or by contacting the admissions office.
